
Colette Donaghy

Colette Donaghy was educated at Queen’s University Belfast where she achieved an Honours degree in Psychology. Colette went on to study Nursing at the Royal Group of Hospitals in Belfast and then returned to Queen’s to complete a Master of Science in Nursing in 1994.
Colette has over thirty years’ experience working in the clinical research industry having started with Upjohn Limited in 1992 as a Clinical Research Associate and progressed through a number of roles in Clinical Research to become a Clinical Programme Lead with Pfizer Inc. until 2009.
In 2009 an opportunity arose for Colette to join Belfast’s local CRO Medevol Limited as their Chief Operating Officer where she was responsible for a diverse portfolio of clinical studies in both primary and secondary care until the group was acquired in December 2013 by the Irish CRO Venn Life Sciences. Colette remained with Venn until 2020 where she led their European Project management group in her role as Clinical Operations Manager.
In 2021 Colette joined IAOCR in the role of Quality Accreditation Manager and is passionate in her role working with Clinical Research professionals to help them attain their international accreditation award.
