With a distinguished career spanning over a decade, Prof. Anneke Hesseling stands at the forefront of paediatric TB research, advocating for safer and more effective treatment strategies for children. Positioned as the Professor and Director of the Paediatric TB Research Programme at the Desmond Tutu TB Centre (DTTC) at Stellenbosch University, South Africa, her pioneering work primarily focuses on the holistic management and prevention of tuberculosis among children, regardless of HIV status.

Professor Archary, an Honorary Associate Professor in the School of Clinical Medicine and a Paediatric Infectious Disease Specialist at the University of KwaZulu-Natal/King Edward VIII Hospital, is a beacon of hope for children battling infectious diseases in resource-limited settings. With an in-depth focus on paediatric healthcare, his clinical expertise and groundbreaking research work focuses on improving the pharmacokinetics of antiretroviral drugs in severely malnourished HIV-infected children.
